Children’s Yoga Classes

I am a qualified Yoga & Kids Instructor, Certified with Yoga Alliance International, Registered Course. This Yoga is based on Hatha Yoga and is for Children & Young People aged 2-14yrs. My classes are built with the needs for the child in mind and are inclusive of all. Each child is allowed to move freely during the session and encouraged to be their own unique self in the group.

Yoga provides a fun way for children to develop important skills in a nurturing, non-competitive environment. This can help children to develop their self confidence and self-esteem.

In my classes children are encouraged to relax and have fun while they develop strength, flexibility, balance, bi-lateral integration and co-ordination. They also develop better focus, concentration and body-awareness. The sessions are mindful and hold the space for the children to be present in how they are feeling, enabling emotional balance, supporting self-regulation and a sense of harmony.

The classes can include yoga poses, partner yoga, story yoga, movement, breathwork, mindful activities, games, meditation, trust games, relaxation.

We also incorporate positive affirmations, practice gratitude work in our sessions. Developing a respect for ourself, others and our environment is a key component of our yoga class.

Sessions for all ages can be facilitated and will be produced with development stage appropriate content.

  • For children aged 2-7 years old – we explore through movement and engage our hearts bodies and minds with creative yoga poses, moments of calm using mindful activities and meditation techniques. A class full of giggles and fun as we journey together.

  • For children aged 7-14years old – we practice yoga, mandala, games, music, mandala & meditation, to help children and teens to ensure their emotional and physical well-being. Promoting yoga practice as part of a daily routine can help children & young people to attain a calm, relaxed mind along with a healthy body and improved self- confidence.

Connected Kids Instructor

I am also a Professional Connected Kids Instructor this programme aims to support children using mindful activities. There are a wide variety of meditation tools to support your children’s needs and these activities are inclusive to all.

During the sessions our meditation tool kit may include: Mandala mediation, Balancing the brain with Labyrinths, Calming the nervous system, Mudras or massage, Working with Colour, Developing Emotional Awareness, Mindful Activities for Autism & Mindful Activities with Sound.

Beyond Mediation- Methods and Tools to be used are: Indian Head Massage, Moving Meditation (Yoga) Crystals and Reiki.
